Job summary

ASC Connections Ltd. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead a small team of finance and operational professionals in a hands-on role.

The post reports to the CEO and collaborates closely with senior stakeholders and the Board to drive growth and ensure robust financial reporting and compliance. Key responsibilities include management accounts, forecasting, VAT and tax compliance, and overseeing payroll and year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or QBE considered.
• Experience leading finance teams and presenting to CEO/Board.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare weekly sales, margin, and performance reports.
• Month-end reporting, journals and reconciliations.
• Budgetary control and financial forecasting.
• VAT, import duties and tax liabilities reconciliations.
• Payroll coordination with external provider.
• Year-end accounts and audits.
• MLRO duties and AML/CTF compliance.
