Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency is seeking a Head of Accounting & Control for a multinational trading group. The role owns the group's accounting, control and reporting function with a direct report and dotted line to senior finance leadership.

The candidate will lead US GAAP and local GAAP reporting, drive compliance, and enhance internal controls across multiple jurisdictions, including Isle of Man operations and international subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/CA/CPA required; ACCA/CIMA also considered.
• Minimum 8–12 years in financial control, accounting or audit within a multinational environment.
• Proven experience leading a functional accounting or control function.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
• Strong experience in managing internal and external audits.
• Experience in futures and foreign exchange accounting.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• ERP systems proficiency in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly consolidated group financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP standards.
• Ensure timely, accurate submission of consolidated information to group HQ.
• Maintain and improve quality and consistency of financial reporting across subsidiaries.
• Design, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Coordinate and manage annual external audits for relevant entities.
• Oversee and enhance management reporting for insights on performance.
• Lead and develop a direct report and guide regional teams.
• Drive reporting efficiency and control improvements via automation.
