Financial Controller - £100k + up to 15% bonus and a car allowance

This role requires candidates from a credit insurance background. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a consistent corporate financial strategy through managing accounts, financial statements, and tax data.

The candidate will also serve as the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

The client is a large multinational with offices worldwide, facilitating trade by managing credit insurance and risk management, along with products like factoring, debt collection, risk insurance, and bonding.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Compliance: Managing statutory accounts, audit files, supporting company secretarial duties, and liaising with auditors.
2. Taxation: Handling IPT, VAT, and corporate tax submissions, reviews, and compliance.
3. Treasury: Maintaining banking relationships, managing bank mandates, and monthly cash flow forecasting.
4. Group Reporting: Quarterly consolidation, collaborating with regional and head office finance teams, adhering to group timelines.
5. Regulatory Reporting: Biannual and annual submissions to UK and Irish regulators, contributing to UK ORSA reports, and responding to ad-hoc queries.
6. Finance Operations: Working with shared services, ensuring SLA compliance, implementing efficiency improvements, and maintaining process documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in international companies and the insurance industry.
• Management experience is essential.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and methodical approach.
• Proven experience in key project revamps.
• Energetic, self-reliant, quick learner, with problem-solving skills.
• Strategically focused to meet key objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced, PowerPoint), and accounting systems like ROSS and SAP.

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Solid knowledge of accounting fundamentals and IFRS principles.
• Previous managerial experience in cash management, accounting, or internal audit.
