Job Description

As a Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly profit forecasting, month-end closing, and reporting
• Ensuring timely and accurate accounts, reconciling the balance sheet with supporting details
• Managing an experienced finance assistant
• Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts to senior leadership
• Coordinating financial audits, liaising with external auditors, and providing documentation for year-end closure, including adjustments
• Controlling costs through budget management with departmental heads
• Reviewing and improving system processes for efficiency
• Planning budgets in response to demand fluctuations and activity-based budgeting
• Analyzing stock control, identifying slow-moving stock, and implementing improvements
• Managing fixed assets and capitalization processes
• Recording R&D activities for tax relief purposes

The Successful Applicant

• Experience in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across levels in a global/European setting
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel, with strong analytical skills
