UK Staffing Group is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller in Manchester. The role is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) with broad leadership across the finance function and close ties to the business strategy.

You will manage financial reporting, planning and controls, while partnering with senior stakeholders to influence commercial decisions and drive improvements in processes and systems within a growing SaaS environment.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and substantial senior finance experience.

Financial Controller - Manchester

Location: Manchester Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

UK Staffing Group is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for an established SaaS business entering an exciting period of development.

This is an opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys being close to the business, taking ownership and having a genuine influence on how things operate.

We're looking for someone who can balance the technical demands of a senior finance position with the commercial awareness, initiative and confidence to make a real difference.

The Opportunity

Working alongside the Finance Director, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the finance function, with a high level of autonomy and accountability for financial performance, reporting and controls. This is a visible role within the business, with regular interaction across the senior leadership team. You'll be expected to contribute to commercial discussions, provide meaningful financial insight and take an active role in supporting business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of financial performance, reporting and planning.
• Providing clear, meaningful financial information to support business decisions.
• Maintaining effective financial controls and ensuring the business meets its reporting obligations.
• Managing and supporting the existing finance team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
• Supporting the wider business with commercial analysis and financial guidance.
• Ensuring financial activities and key deliverables are managed accurately and to agreed timescales.
• Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders to support business performance and future growth.

About You

We're looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with substantial experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a growing SME or similarly commercial environment. You'll need to demonstrate:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial management experience.
• A good understanding of how finance supports wider business performance.
• Experience managing financial reporting, budgets and forecasting.
• The ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.
• A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
• The confidence to challenge, contribute ideas and drive improvements.
• A track record of taking responsibility and seeing things through.
• The ability to balance day-to-day financial management with longer-term business priorities.

Experience within SaaS, technology or a business with recurring revenue would be advantageous, but isn't essential. We're more interested in finding someone with the right combination of technical ability, commercial understanding and approach.
