Job description

Finatal is working with a titan VC backed Crypto Financial Services Software business with over £170mil annual revenue, seeking a Financial Controller. The successful hire will be technically strong, a hands-on candidate who is proactive in their approach in a high growth, dynamic business, with constant changing demands.

The Responsibilities

1. Reviewing and consolidating journal entries
2. Reporting directly into GFC
3. Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely records of all financial transactions
4. Responsible for financial reporting for regulatory and compliance
5. Maintain P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, identify and research any large variances
6. Review and approve invoices for payment and resolve any discrepancies
7. Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations
8. Support in any financial statement audits required for your entities under remit
9. Assist with establishing internal controls procedures and processes

The Requirements

1. ACA/ACCA qualification with 3+ years PQE
2. Fintech, SaaS and crypto experience in dynamic start-up environments
3. Experience in managing finance team, delivering technical advice across the function
4. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, UK/EU GAAP, US GAAP)
5. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, Trovata, FloQast)
6. Interest in the crypto industry and awareness of the changes occurring in global regulations
