Job summary

Teneo is seeking an Associate Director to work with our Financial Advisory team, leading workstreams, mentoring juniors, and delivering client-facing advisory engagements for boards, management teams, lenders and shareholders.

You will develop restructuring plans, cash flow forecasts, and financing options, while building client relationships and contributing to business development and practice leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), both time and exam qualified.
• Experience in financial advisory within professional services, consultancy or investment bank.
• Understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements and related financial documentation.
• Ability to analyse financial statements to assess performance and outlook.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement workstreams and manage junior staff under Directors.
• Prepare engagement letters and ensure compliance.
• Support management teams with cash flow forecasts and financial advisory plans.
• Develop financial restructuring and cash management options.
• Stress-test business plans and build KPI dashboards.
• Collaborate with legal advisors on documentation (term sheets, loans).
• Manage complex insolvency cases and multi-jurisdictional actions.
• Coach staff and contribute to talent development.
• Support business development and client account expansion.
