Job summary

Teneo is seeking an Associate Director to join its Financial Advisory practice, leading engagements across sectors and managing teams. You will support Directors, advise boards and management on restructuring, cash flow and strategic options, and drive client delivery with a data-driven mindset.

You will oversee complex projects, liaise with legal and tax advisors, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), time and exam qualified.
• Financial advisory experience in professional services, consultancy or investment banking.
• Ability to assess historical financial performance and future outlook from statements.
• Understanding of debt markets, loan agreements and relevant documentation.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading mid-to-large teams and mentoring staff.
• Proficient English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engagement letters and ensure compliance.
• Support Directors and manage external stakeholders.
• Assist management with cash flow forecasts and advisory plans.
• Provide financial restructuring and cash management insights.
• Stress-test business plans, budgeting, KPI reporting and automation.
• Establish or enhance company finance functions and processes.
• Develop advisory options with input from other teams and drive documentation.
• Manage complex insolvency cases and asset recovery actions.
• Oversee engagement economics and risk management.
• Lead junior staff and support talent development.
