Teneo’s Financial Advisory team in Toronto is seeking an Associate Director who will lead complex engagements, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with Managing Directors and clients facing financial stress. You will drive business development and deliver value through rigorous analysis and strategic advice.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent), both time and exam qualified.
• Financial Advisory experience in a professional services company, consultancy or investment bank.
• Understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements and related financial documentation.
• Strong analytical skills including business analytics, cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Experience leading mid-large teams and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements alongside Directors, managing junior staff and stakeholders.
• Oversee insolvency engagements and financial restructuring activities.
• Support business development and expand client contact networks.
• Develop, challenge and present advisory options with cross-functional input.
• Mentor and coach staff and contribute to talent development initiatives.
• Drive marketing and external outreach to expand engagements and opportunities.
