Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join the Group Financial Accounting team in Maidenhead. This role focuses on IFRS reporting, statutory accounting under FRS 101/102, and close collaboration with auditors and senior stakeholders within a complex international listed structure.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK statutory accounting.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 101/102.
• Experience working with auditors and year-end processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile corporate ledgers and support month-end processes.
• Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Coordinate submissions with Companies House and HMRC.
• Work closely with auditors, directors, and company secretarial teams.
• Support IFRS implementations and non-financial reporting obligations.
