Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join the Group Financial Accounting team in Maidenhead. You will focus on IFRS reporting, statutory accounting, and robust financial controls within a listed international group.

The role involves developing expertise across corporate entities, working with auditors, and partnering with senior stakeholders on major reporting and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience with IFRS and UK statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Experience working with auditors and managing year-end processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across corporate entities.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, budget and forecast reporting under IFRS using Tagetik.
• Maintain and reconcile corporate ledgers and ensure compliance.
• Review board minutes and prepare accounting entries for corporate transactions.
• Support month-end processes and reporting deadlines.
