Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join our Group Financial Accounting team in Maidenhead. You will deliver IFRS reporting and statutory accounts, working with auditors and senior stakeholders in a listed international organisation.

The role offers exposure to IFRS reporting, Caseware/Tagetik implementations and financial controls, with a modern Maidenhead office in Waterside Quarter and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 101 and/or FRS 102.
• Experience working with auditors and managing year-end processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across corporate entities.
• Prepare and submit IFRS reporting using Tagetik.
• Maintain and reconcile corporate ledgers and assist month-end processes.
• Review board minutes and prepare accounting entries for dividends and restructuring activities.
• Coordinate statutory accounts and liaise with auditors and directors.
• Support IFRS implementations and reporting requirements.
