CMA Recruitment Group is assisting an established business undergoing transformation in London to recruit a Financial Accountant. The role focuses on consolidation, IFRS compliance, and strengthening the financial control environment while collaborating with treasury and external auditors.

The successful candidate will contribute to timely reporting and regulatory compliance, with a contract-to-permanent option and a remote-friendly working arrangement. Salary is dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with audit and compliance experience.
• Strong IFRS, multi-country and multi-currency financial reporting experience.
• Analytical with attention to detail and ability to explain variances clearly.

Responsabilités

• Support preparation and delivery of consolidated financial accounts in line with IFRS and statutory regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and improve the group's financial control environment.
• Partner with Treasury to explain movements in investments and debt and manage key balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in timely production of quarterly and annual reports and liaison with external auditors.
• Support ongoing regulatory compliance efforts and handle technical accounting matters.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

Supporting the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory regulations

Collaborating closely with internal teams to maintain and improve the group’s financial control environment

Partnering with Treasury to explain movements in investments and debt and managing key balance sheet reconciliations

Contributing to the timely production of quarterly and annual reports, as well as liaising with external auditors

Assisting in technical accounting matters and supporting ongoing regulatory compliance efforts

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant audit and compliance experience
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of IFRS, multi-country, and multi-currency financial reporting
• Analytical with an eye for detail, capable of investigating variances and explaining financial movements clearly
• Proactive problem solver with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex topics effectively
• The role will be offered on a contract to permanent basis
