Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a large, purpose-driven organisation for a Financial Accountant. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, fixed asset and grant accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and tax compliance, and supporting year-end and external audits.

You will maintain robust controls, drive process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business in a hybrid working environment during a growth phase.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience with financial controls, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes.
• Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders.

Description

As Financial Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the organisation. You'll take ownership of key technical accounting activities including fixed asset accounting, grant accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and tax compliance, whilst supporting year-end accounts preparation and external audit processes.

You will also play an important role in maintaining robust financial controls, improving financial systems and processes, and ensuring reporting remains accurate and compliant.

Profile

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise and excellent attention to detail.
• They will bring experience of financial controls, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes, alongside the ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with stakeholders across the business.
• You will be someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines within a collaborative team environment.
