Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Financial Accountant for a principally remote role with weekly travel to the London office. You will contribute to consolidated financial statements, ensure IFRS compliance, and support strategic financial transformation within a growing organisation.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong analytical ability, governance experience, and effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support consolidated financial accounts preparation and delivery, IFRS & statutory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and improve the group’s financial control environment.
• Partner with Treasury to explain movements in investments and debt; manage balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in timely production of quarterly and annual reports and liaise with external auditors.
• Support technical accounting matters and regulatory compliance efforts.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Supporting the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory regulations.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams to maintain and improve the group’s financial control environment.
• Partnering with Treasury to explain movements in investments and debt and managing key balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contributing to the timely production of quarterly and annual reports, as well as liaising with external auditors.
• Assisting in technical accounting matters and supporting ongoing regulatory compliance efforts.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant audit and compliance experience
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of IFRS, multi-country, and multi-currency financial reporting
• Analytical with an eye for detail, capable of investigating variances and explaining financial movements clearly
• Proactive problem solver with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex topics effectively

The role will be offered on a contract to permanent basis
