Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. in Coventry is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a permanent role that starts immediately. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, and be able to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

This full-time position offers a hybrid working policy, with 3 days a week from home and 2 days in the office. Additional perks include pension contributions, flexi time, and 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Experience in financial and management accounts reporting.

Responsibilities

• Producing and reconciling financial and management accounts.
• Reconciliation of all inter-group debtors and creditors each month end.
• Providing analysis to support the Tax department.
• Reconciling and recording monthly payroll costs.
• Preparing annual UK statutory accounts.
• Liaising with external auditors for compliance.
• Acting as the key point of contact on accounting issues.

Skills

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and modelling)

Familiarity with data extraction, dashboards, and BI tools (Power BI, OneStream)

Familiarity with SAP

Education

CIMA / ACCA qualification (desirable)

Job description

Our client, based in Coventry, is currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary rate is £45,000 - £50,000, and they offer a hybrid working policy of 3 days per week working from home and 2 days in the office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and the ability to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Producing and reconciling the financial and management accounts reporting, including the Group’s monthly internal reporting for stocks, profit & loss and balance sheet
• Reconciling and ensuring agreement of all inter-group debtors and creditors each month end
• Providing analysis required to support the Tax department with the tax affairs
• Reconciling and ensuring accurate recording of all monthly payroll costs
• Preparing the annual UK statutory accounts and other statutory government returns, such as those required on a wide variety of financial subjects by the Office for National Statistics, or the Financial Conduct Authority
• Liaising with external auditors and other parties ensuring compliance with all UK company legislation
• Acting as the key point of contact on accounting issues, in particular the members of the Controlling team, and to ensuring that all departments understand and comply with the Group accounting standards

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and modelling)
• Familiarity with data extraction, dashboards, and BI tools (Power BI, OneStream desirable)
• Familiarity with SAP is desirable
• Qualification CIMA / ACCA would be desirable but this requirement is flexible
