Job summary

Page Personnel is seeking a Financial Accountant for our client in City of London. The role supports month-end close, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation and investor reporting within a fast‑growing financial services environment.

The successful candidate will bring ACA qualification with 0–2 years PQE, strong Excel skills, IFRS knowledge and a mindset for process improvement. Office-based role with opportunities to learn and advance in a PE-backed business.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with 0-2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Financial services experience is advantageous.
• IFRS knowledge with consolidation experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close process and preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation.
• Assist with board and investor reporting.
• Support VAT, tax and other compliance-related activities.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation.
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis, projects and wider finance initiatives.

Job Description

• Support the month-end close process and preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation.
• Assist with board and investor reporting.
• Support VAT, tax and other compliance-related activities.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation.
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis, projects and wider finance initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA qualified with a max 0-2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Financial services experience is advantageous.
• First Time Industry Movers from Practice desirable.
• Good understanding of IFRS; consolidation experience is beneficial.
• Exposure to month-end processes, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI exposure would be advantageous.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and adaptable, with strong communication skills.
• Happy to work 4 days in the office per week (5 days during probation).
