CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established international business in Fareham, Hampshire to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role suits a finalist or newly qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands-on financial reporting with business partnering.

You will work closely with local finance teams to review monthly results, manage revenue accounting activities, and support balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist or recently qualified.
• 1–3 years’ relevant accounting experience in industry.
• Strong month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Exposure to US GAAP and SOX controls advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

Responsabilités

• Partner with local finance teams to review monthly results and investigate variances.
• Manage revenue accounting activities: reconciliations, revenue recognition, cut-off, rebates and returns provisions.
• Oversee operating expenditure reporting including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and support quarterly reviews.
• Produce monthly reporting packs with variance commentary for stakeholders.
• Ensure reporting adheres to US GAAP and internal controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or recently qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands‑on financial reporting with genuine business partnering.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Partner closely with local Business Controllers and finance teams to review monthly results, investigate variances and ensure the numbers accurately reflect business activity
• Manage key revenue accounting activities, including reconciliations, revenue recognition, cut-off, rebates and returns provisions
• Take responsibility for operating expenditure reporting, including accruals, prepayments and monthly spend analysis
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting quarterly balance sheet reviews
• Produce monthly reporting packs and provide clear variance commentary for stakeholders
• Ensure financial reporting is delivered in accordance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies and the internal control framework

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalist or recently qualified accountant
• Ideally 1–3 years’ relevant accounting experience, gained within industry, a multinational organisation
• Strong understanding of month‑end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
• Exposure to US GAAP and/or SOX controls would be highly advantageous
• Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP would be beneficial
