Job summary

Investigo is seeking a hands-on finance professional in Leicester to own month-end reporting, strengthen financial controls and support the integration of overseas finance activities into the UK. The ideal candidate has ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications with strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel, and a keen eye for process improvements and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant experience.
• Strong month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and large data handling.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and cross-border processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Support management reporting and monthly analysis.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Assist with audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies.

This role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, month-end reporting, balance sheet management and finance transformation projects within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Financial Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate month-end reporting, maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the integration of an overseas finance function into the UK operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who enjoys ownership, process improvement and working closely with stakeholders across the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end close activities
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Support management reporting and monthly analysis
• Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
• Assist with audit and statutory reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies
• Support finance integration and change initiatives across the business

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
• Solid understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and double-entry accounting
• Experience managing intercompany accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence handling large data sets
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Experience using Sage 200 (or a similar Sage finance system) would be highly advantageous
• Interest in leveraging AI and technology to improve finance processes and reporting
