Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Assistant Manager in Finance Consulting to scale our Controllership Transformation and Financial Close Automation practice. The role sits at the intersection of finance operations, process redesign, and enabling technology, working with senior finance leaders to shape our offering.

You will grow through leading workstreams, developing automation expertise and stakeholder management, with Directors and Partners supporting your career progression.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience in finance transformation and controllership projects.
• Ability to engage with senior finance stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Experience leading workstreams or small teams in finance consulting or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead controllership and financial close transformation engagements from diagnostic to implementation.
• Support close automation initiatives across FloQast, OneStream, Prophix and similar tools.
• Manage engagement budgets and timelines, ensuring quality and risk controls.
• Develop client propositions by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Foster collaboration across Consulting and Grant Thornton to deliver client value.
