Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager or Assistant Manager to scale our Controllership Transformation and Financial Close Automation practice. You will work at the intersection of finance operations, process redesign, and enabling technology, partnering with senior finance leaders to shape our controllership offering.

You will build networks, gain certification in selected solutions, and lead workstreams to improve close processes, reconciling accounts and delivering

Qualifications

ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA/CIMA or CIPFA with post‑qualification experience
Interest in finance transformation and technology’s role in improving controllership and close processes
Confidence engaging senior finance stakeholders and managing expectations

Responsibilities

Lead workstreams and manage client relationships, growing towards Associate Director
Support and lead controllership and financial close transformation engagements from diagnostic to implementation
Analyse current close processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation
Assist design and implementation of improved close calendars, reconciliation frameworks, and workflows
Develop process documentation, policy frameworks and training materials to embed change
