Low Carbon Contracts Company is seeking a Finance Systems Manager in Birmingham/Leeds. You will bridge Finance and Technology, leading ERP reviews, automation initiatives and data governance across Finance Operations, Scheme Settlements and Procurement.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Experience leading a Finance or Management Accounting team.
Experience of process and data management including how technology can be deployed to deliver efficiency, effectiveness, and control to meet defined business requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences and communicate complex ideas in simplified terms.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including cross-functional collaboration.
Proven track record of transforming manual financial processes into automated, controlled end-to-end solutions with embedded validation, audit trails, and full documentation.
Demonstrable experience acting as a Finance-Technology bridge — representing Finance requirements in technology forums and translating them into system specifications for IT and vendor delivery.
ERP system implementation or migration experience, including requirements definition, controls mapping, UAT, and user adoption.
Demonstrable line management experience, with evidence of developing individuals of differing technical capability and driving team performance.
Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in a finance context, including the ability to critically evaluate and govern AI tool deployment within a public body audit framework.

Responsibilities

Lead the Finance Systems function, developing the technology strategy across Finance Operations, Scheme Settlements and Procurement.
Oversee ERP review and future updates (Sage X3 or future ERP).
Lead the finance workstream of ERP migration, including requirements gathering and data migration validation.
Govern AI adoption within Finance ensuring audit readiness and public body compliance.
Develop and maintain dashboards/reports for financial analysis and decision-making (Power BI, Excel).
Line manage the Finance Process Specialist and future roles, setting objectives and development plans.
Coordinate with IT for system connectivity and governance forums, translating finance requirements into IT specs.
Provide training and user support for system functionality and changes.
