Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company in Leeds or Birmingham seeks a Finance Schemes & Reporting Partner to lead statutory reporting, valuations and new scheme implementation within the Settlements team. You will oversee accounting treatments, controls and systems to ensure robust reporting and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

Role covers SME involvement from discovery through go-live, including designing reporting frameworks, managing audits and coordinating with external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent international qualification).
• Proven experience producing IFRS statutory accounts and managing external audits.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-finance audiences.
• Experience translating accounting and reporting requirements into operational processes, controls and systems.
• Experience with ERP systems and intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
• Experience leading or supporting finance implementation projects, including systems, reporting or process changes.
• Experience preparing IFRS 9 disclosures and automating recurring reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance through discovery and design phases for new schemes, ensuring accounting, reporting, systems, controls and operational needs are identified early.
• Oversee Finance workstreams in implementation programmes and translate accounting treatments into practical Finance solutions.
• Design and configure Sage X3 including chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, journals, interfaces and outputs; ensure testing and governance before go-live.
• Own the Finance reporting and control framework for new schemes, including reconciliations and period-end processes.
• Assure Finance readiness ahead of scheme go-live and transition to BAU.
• Manage Settlements Change Accountant secondment and delivery.
