SystemsAccountants seeks an ERP Finance Lead to join the finance team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on maintaining and optimising the organisation’s finance ERP system to drive accurate financial management and continuous process improvement.

The postholder will ensure system stability, governance, and data-driven reporting, while collaborating with IT and external providers. Strong experience with major ERP platforms is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of finance operations and accounting practices, ideally supported by a professional finance qualification.
• Experience with planning, reporting and performance management platforms.
• Experience improving and developing financial systems and processes.
• Experience with finance systems such as Unit4, SAP, and Workday.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of ERP financial platform to support objectives and finance operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system functionality.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for finance system improvements aligned with business needs.
• Ensure all system developments follow best practice in financial governance and internal controls.
• Manage the integration between ERP and other organisational systems, including third-party applications.
• Work with IT teams and external providers to maintain system stability and performance.
• Keep informed of technological developments and best practice in financial systems to enhance capability.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for system issues, including second and third-line queries.
• Design and produce financial reports that meet operational and strategic requirements.
• Ensure financial data is accurate, reliable, and available for analysis and decision-making.
• Act as the principal contact between the organisation and the finance system provider.
• Identify learning needs relating to the use of the finance system.
• Conduct performance reviews and support continuous learning within the team.
