Job summary

BMW Group in Farnborough, United Kingdom, is offering a Placement Year for students to join Risk Controlling and Treasury within the Finance Department. You will be treated as part of the team from day one and given real responsibilities, including support for inter-company loan requests and interest rate swaps.

You will gain industry experience, receive training in Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SAS, and basic SQL, with opportunities to present to Management.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Management Science, Business, Economics or an equivalent numerical field.
• Strong A Levels in numerical subjects and solid Excel skills.
• Willingness to learn SAS and basic SQL for data analysis.
• Ability to collate data and prepare stakeholder reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly inter-company loan requests and interest rate swaps.
• Support forecasting, budgeting risk costs, monthly risk provisions and adhoc queries.
• Take ownership of weekly and monthly reporting tasks to work independently.
• Opportunity to present to Management Committees and stakeholders.
