BMW Group, Farnborough, invites a Placement Year student to join Risk and Treasury Controlling in the Finance Department. You’ll handle real responsibilities from day one and work on forecasting, reporting, and ad-hoc queries to support risk costs and liquidity management.
Expect to develop Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SAS (point-and-click) and basic SQL; you’ll present to Management and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

The Intern role supports the Risk Controlling and Treasury teams which sit within the Finance Department. Risk Controlling consists of Head of Risk Controlling and 5 Risk Controlling Analysts. Treasury consists of the Treasury Manager, Treasury Analyst and Assistant Treasury Analyst. Risk Controlling is responsible for ensuring the risk costs are accurately calculated and provided for within the Financial Accounts. The main types of Risks within Financial Services are Residual Value Risk, Credit Risk and Interest Rate and Liquidity Risk. Treasury is responsible for funding the business inline with group guidelines.
To be eligible for this position, you must be returning to your studies, for a minimum of 6 months, after completion of this placement.
