Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a hybrid/remote temporary role in Lowestoft, Suffolk, paying £500 per day. You will lead the annual budget for the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and oversee the HRA year-end statement in line with statutory requirements.

The role also covers financial management of HRA-related services, advising managers and Councillors, with occasional travel to Lowestoft and Melton and possible evening Cabinet meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing revenue budgets or similar statutory accounts.
• Ability to provide strategic financial guidance to managers and councillors.
• Strong knowledge of statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget for the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and HRA year-end statements.
• Provide financial management across HRA-related services with guidance to Service Managers and Councillors.
• Support corporate initiatives and ensure compliance with financial legislation and statutory requirements.
