Job summary

ProTalent Limited in Brighton is seeking a Finance Business Partner (Client Advisory) to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses. You will translate bookkeeping outputs into actionable advice and guide clients in understanding what their numbers really mean.

The role focuses on advisory work rather than traditional bookkeeping, with dedicated teams handling operations. Expect flexitime and progression opportunities within a collaborative firm.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a practice with direct client responsibility.
• Experience reviewing management accounts and advising on key metrics.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to juggle several clients.
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for your own client portfolio.
• Run quarterly and annual planning meetings based on management accounts.
• Explain the numbers in plain English to help owners make better decisions.
• Spot risks and growth opportunities for clients.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping, payroll and accounts teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee commercial aspects of client relationships, including renewals and billing.
