Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Christchurch UK is seeking a Finance Partner to oversee segments of general accounting, maintain ledgers, prepare statements, and support external audits.

You will develop accounting policies, mentor a team, and ensure accurate financial reporting, with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities across ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • 2 years Post Qualified Experience.
  • Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or CPA.
  • Experience with complex ERP systems.
  • Experience in identifying and resolving complex accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Understanding of relevant accounting regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to develop and mentor a team of accountants.

  • Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting
  • Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting procedures and controls.
  • Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll, and personal property taxes, and payable/receivables.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Develops and mentors team members across a variety of key accounting functions

In this role, you will be responsible for segments of the general accounting function. Supervises the maintenance of one or more accounting systems directly in accordance with GAAP and any other applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, performance analysis, and reporting of management accounts. Participates in annual audits and special projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of earnings, profits, cash balance and other financial results.

Your Challenge:

Curtiss-Wright Industrial Division, which includes the product brands of Arens Controls, Penny & Giles, PG Drives Technology and Williams Controls, is an excellent supplier in providing components and sub-systems which enable customer specific solutions for on- and off-highway vehicles. These include medium- and heavy-duty trucks, buses and motor coaches, construction and agricultural vehicles, materials handling, and other specialty vehicles, as well as sophisticated wheelchairs and scooters for medical mobility.
