Qualifications

• Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles (e.g. double entry, reconciliations).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills for financial data interpretation.
• Proficient in Excel or equivalent tools with data manipulation.
• Ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies using structured analysis.
• Good attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines in a performance-driven environment.
• First class written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain financial reconciliations, including balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, identifying reconciling items and clear within timelines.
• Prepare and process financial journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and issues for reporting and decision-making.
• Support production of financial reports, including period-end outputs and statutory reporting.
• Manage and resolve queries from stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align financial data and resolve issues.
• Apply financial controls and governance requirements; ensure audit readiness.
• Support audit activity with information and documentation as required.
• Manage own workload, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls.
• Maintain documentation including desk notes and process guidance.
