Job summary

Tony Alan Recruitment is assisting Preston-based employer with a Senior Associate Director - Finance Shared Services role. Lead Finance Operations across AP, AR, Payroll, Expenses and Payments while directing a major transformation program to modernise processes and leverage technology.

The role focuses on governance, automation, self-service and AI to enhance service delivery for stakeholders and drive scalable growth.

Qualifications

Experience leading a large Finance Operations or Shared Services function.
Proven ability to deliver process improvement and business transformation.
Experience implementing or optimizing ERP and finance tech, ideally Workday.

Responsibilities

Lead the Finance Operations function across AP, AR, Credit Control, Expenses and Payments.
Develop and deliver the long-term Finance Operations and transformation strategy.
Improve experience and service for internal and external stakeholders.
Drive process improvement, standardisation and simplification.
Lead digital transformation, including automation, workflow, self-service and AI.
Maximise the value of Workday and associated finance technologies.
Ensure processes are scalable, well controlled and compliant.
Provide oversight of financial governance, audit readiness and data integrity.
Manage complex stakeholder relationships and act as a senior escalation point.
Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team.
