Job summary

Tony Alan Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Associate Director - Finance Shared Services to join a growing, forward-thinking organisation based in Gatwick.

This senior leadership role leads Finance Operations across AP, AR, Payroll, Credit Control, Expenses and Payments, while driving a programme of process and technology transformation, including Workday adoption and AI-enabled ways of working.

Associate Director - Finance Shared Services

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exceptional job opportunity for an experienced Associate Director - Finance shared services to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for leading and developing a high-performing Finance Operations function across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Credit Control, Expenses and Payments, while driving a significant programme of process, technology and service transformation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising Finance Operations, improving service delivery, simplifying processes and maximising the use of technology, automation, self-service and AI.

Your duties will include:

• Leading the Finance Operations function across AP, AR, CC, Expenses and Payments.
• Developing and delivering the long-term Finance Operations and transformation strategy.
• Improving the experience and service provided to internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving process improvement, standardisation and simplification.
• Leading digital transformation, including automation, workflow, self-service and AI.
• Maximising the value of Workday and associated finance technologies.
• Ensuring processes are scalable, efficient, well controlled and compliant.
• Providing strong oversight of financial governance, audit readiness and data integrity.
• Managing complex stakeholder relationships and acting as a senior escalation point.
• Leading, developing and motivating a high-performing team.

Key requirements:

• Leading a significant Finance Operations or Shared Services function.
• Managing areas such as AP, AR, Payroll, Expenses and Payments.
• Delivering process improvement and business transformation.
• Implementing or maximising ERP and finance technologies, ideally including Workday.
• Introducing automation, self-service and digitally enabled ways of working.
• Managing senior stakeholders and influencing at executive level.
