Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking an experienced Financial Officer to join our head office team in the Peak District area. You will work closely with the managing director and finance leads to reconcile daily transactions, maintain records, and support budgets, forecasts and reports as needed.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong Excel/Sage skills and the ability to work with external accountants and internal teams to keep financial processes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent/higher financial qualification.
• Minimum five years’ experience in an accounts or finance department.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as Sage accounting software.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work flexibly and unsupervised on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions including accounts payable, receivable and client billing.
• Maintain precise digital records: ledgers, spreadsheets, reconciliations and receipts.
• Assist with financial reporting and budget/forecast preparation.
• Resolve payment queries from clients, suppliers and third parties.
• Manage credit control and act as first point of contact for financial queries.
• Build positive relationships with clients, vendors and service providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve working methods and systems.
