Job summary

GCH in Gloucester is seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance team and support the accurate calculation, setting, monitoring and reporting of rents and service charges across all tenures. You’ll help ensure customers are charged correctly and data remains accurate.

You will work with colleagues across Finance and operations, manage the service charges mailbox, support reporting and audit activity, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting. AAT Level 2 is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• An understanding of financial processes, budgeting and reporting principles.
• The ability to maintain large datasets accurately and confidently.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Competent IT skills, including experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• An awareness of housing regulation, compliance requirements and governance expectations.
• AAT Level 2 or equivalent would be desirable, or you may currently be working towards this qualification.
