Job summary

Confidential in Gloucester is seeking a Finance Officer to manage rent and service charges across tenancies. The role supports accurate calculation, setting, monitoring and reporting within the Finance team.

You will ensure data integrity, charge accuracy and compliance with financial, regulatory and organisational requirements while collaborating with Finance and operations teams. Closing date 18 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of financial processes, budgeting and reporting principles.
• The ability to maintain large datasets accurately and confidently.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Competent IT skills, including experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• An awareness of housing regulation, compliance requirements and governance expectations.
• AAT Level 2 or equivalent would be desirable, or you may currently be working towards this qualification.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, set and monitor rents and service charges across all tenures.
• Assist with timely financial reporting and audit activity.
• Maintain accurate rent and service charge data in the finance system.
• Respond to queries via the service charges mailbox.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.
