Job summary

A recruitment consultancy in the UK seeks a Finance Officer to support financial operations, manage reconciliations, and ensure compliance with finance policies. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accurately receipting incoming funds in a timely manner.
  • Completing daily and month-end bank reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Preparing and processing payment and court certificate requests.
  • Managing and reviewing weekly and ad hoc property transactions.
  • Investigating and resolving unreconciled entries promptly.
  • Producing cashflow reports and financial summaries.
  • Managing accounts receivable queries from stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with finance policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in developing finance operations processes.
  • Administering client money accounts in line with internal controls.

Join our client as a Finance Officer within the finance team, supporting financial operations, reconciliations, and client money processes while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Accurately receipting incoming funds in a timely manner.
  • Completing daily and month-end bank reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
  • Preparing and processing payment and court certificate requests.
  • Managing and reviewing weekly and ad hoc property transactions.
  • Investigating and resolving unreconciled entries promptly.
  • Producing cashflow reports and financial summaries.
  • Managing accounts receivable queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with finance policies and authorisation procedures.
  • Assisting in developing and improving finance operations processes.
  • Administering client money accounts in line with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience within a professional services or law firm environment. They will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with finance or practice management systems (such as Elite 3e or Viewpoint).
