EA Technology Ltd. is seeking a Finance Officer to join the Finance team on a hybrid basis.

The role supports the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial processing, maintaining controls, and providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. You will work across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control, contributing to month-end activities and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control.
  • Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with accounting systems.
  • Strong communication and customer-focused approach; can manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices in line with company policies.
  • Manage invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare supplier payment runs; ensure on-time payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements; investigate differences.
  • Raise customer invoices; maintain debtor ledgers.
  • Allocate customer receipts; support revenue recognition.
  • Manage outstanding debt; reduce aged receivables.
  • Produce aged debt reports for decision-making.
  • Assist with month-end activities: reconciliations, journals, accruals.
  • Maintain financial records; support audits.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Provide support across finance during absences.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate, timely and effective financial processing across the business. You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting month-end activities and ensuring excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Working across a broad range of finance activities, you'll help ensure the smooth running of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions while contributing to continuous improvement across the finance team.

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in line with company policies
  • Manage invoice approval workflows, resolving discrepancies where required
  • Prepare supplier payment runs and ensure payments are made accurately and on time
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any differences
  • Raise customer invoices and maintain accurate debtor ledgers
  • Allocate customer receipts and support revenue recognition activities where required
  • Proactively manage outstanding debt, reducing aged receivables through effective credit control
  • Produce aged debt reports and provide commentary to support decision-making
  • Assist with month‑end activities, including reconciliations, journals and accruals
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support internal and external audit requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements, financial reporting and ad‑hoc analysis
  • Provide support across the wider finance function during periods of absence
What we’ll need from you
  • Experience working within a finance role covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Control
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with experience using accounting systems
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace new systems and ways of working
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Desirable
  • Experience within a technology, engineering or professional services environment
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle NetSuite
  • Studying towards an AAT qualification (or interested in beginning AAT studies)
