Job summary

AWE plc is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Statutory & Technical Accounting) to lead the Financial Accounting team and drive planning and delivery across the CFO Finance function in the United Kingdom. You will oversee multiple finance domains and provide clear leadership and governance, while working with key internal and external stakeholders.

You will deliver advanced systems expertise, maintain IFRS compliance, support external audits, and contribute to ESG/TCFD reporting.

Qualifications

ACCA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is required or equivalent.
Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical/financial analysis capabilities.
Experience with IFRS and technical accounting developments.
Audit experience and ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a Finance team delivering technical and financial activities.
Oversee Financial Accounting, FP&A, Financial Compliance and Finance Systems, with effective reporting.
Manage external audit processes and statutory reporting (AR&A).
Identify leases under IFRS and monitor technical accounting developments.
