Job summary

AWE plc is seeking a Finance Specialist to support the Statutory Reporting & General Ledger function within the Finance team. You will contribute to the preparation of AR&A, ESG/TCFD reporting, and annual audit processes, while ensuring IFRS compliance and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA qualification desirable.
• Experience of financial accounting work.
• Understanding of IFRS is essential.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across teams.
• Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
• Advanced IT capability and strong systems proficiency, particularly MS Excel.
• Demonstrates sound analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Process compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Annual Report & Accounts (AR&A), compiling inputs and data, casting and review of final accounts.
• Assist ESG and TCFD reporting.
• Support timely completion of the AWE annual audit.
• Assist in identifying leases under IFRS accounting standards.
• Assist with MOD ALB reporting and related submissions.
• Participate in continuous process improvement and update process documentation.
