Job summary

Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking a Finance Manager (Statutory & Technical Accounting) to lead advanced systems expertise and deliver financial activities across the CFO Finance function. You will oversee Financial Accounting, FP&A, Financial Compliance and Finance Systems, providing leadership to your team and ensuring high-quality reporting using Fusion and other systems.

The role requires strong communication to解释 complex financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders,

Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Proficient in Excel to advanced level.
Audit experience.
Knowledge of IFRS.
2+ years post qualification experience of financial and technical accounting work.

Responsibilities

Preparation and analysis of Annual Report & Accounts (AR&A).
Researching significant transactions to ensure business drivers are understood and correct local accounting treatment has been applied.
Owning and developing the process to identify leases under IFRS.
Monitoring, assessing and interpreting technical accounting developments and addressing potential impacts to financial reporting.
Ensuring timely and successful completion of the external audit process.
Preparing and submitting MOD reporting returns.
Developing financial reporting for ESG and TCFD.
