Job summary

Excool Group in Stoke Prior is seeking a Finance Manager to work with the Finance Director on the financial function, ensuring efficient processes and timely reports while developing the finance team.

The role requires supervising monthly accounts, group consolidations, cash flow monitoring, VAT/Tax returns, and year-end audit support. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential, with 37.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or qualified by experience (6–8 years).
• Ability to manage a growing finance team.
• Knowledge of SAP Business One and/or Sage 50 is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of data privacy standards.
• Effective communication across departments.
• Highly organised with excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the timely preparation and review of monthly Management Accounts to existing deadlines.
• Overseeing the preparation of monthly group consolidation reports.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations - reviews and adjustments.
• Reviewing and approving payment runs.
• Monitoring company cash flow.
• Review of VAT Returns, Overseas Sales Tax Returns and ONS surveys, ahead of submission.
• Overseeing the Fixed Asset Register and reviewing of additions/disposals and depreciation.
• Supervision of the sales invoicing and purchase ledger teams, and providing support and cover for the management accountants.
• Managing the internal team with for the year end audit and dealing with queries arising.
• Provide insightful information and expectations to aid in long-term and short-term decision making to internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
