Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a hands-on Group Finance Manager to lead the finance function across our Stoke-on-Trent head office, Oldbury office, and regional hubs as we grow.

You will report to the Finance Director, strengthen financial controls, deliver timely management accounts and analysis for the Board, and guide acquisitions integration in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment. This hybrid role offers strategic influence, partnering with operational leaders for robust decision-making.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or MAAT qualified (or equivalent professional experience).
• Strong experience in producing, reviewing, and improving management accounts.
• Demonstrable leadership in managing and developing finance teams.
• Deep understanding of financial controls, statutory reporting and compliance.
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial data into insight.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Experience in a growing, multi-entity environment.

Salary: £70,000 + car allowance + benefits package

Reporting to: Group Finance Director

About the Role

Trusted for their expertise across gas, plumbing, heating, electrical, maintenance, and decarbonisation, this company deliver safe, compliant, and efficient solutions for social housing, private developments, and commercial properties, they're seeking a hands-on and strategic Group Finance Manager to act as deputy to our Finance Director. This is a critical leadership role supporting our continued growth, strengthening financial controls, and managing the integration of acquired businesses. You will lead our finance function, ensuring high-quality reporting, analysis, and commercial insight for the Board and Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team, establishing clear performance expectations.
• Reporting & Insight: Take ownership of monthly management accounts, moving toward insightful analysis and Group-wide commentary.

• Team Development: Improving ownership, accountability, and resilience across the wider finance team.
• Operational Control: Effective management of cash-flow, working capital, and strict adherence to financial compliance and statutory deadlines.
• Integration: Successful finance integration of new business acquisitions.
• Business Partnering: Proactive and credible engagement with the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
