Job summary

HW Finance in Kingston upon Hull is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the business. You will lead day-to-day financial operations, oversee reporting, budgeting and cash flow, and manage a finance team, driving performance and strategic decision making.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will ensure regulatory compliance, internal controls and continuous improvement across the finance function while partnering with other departments on key business projects.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
• Experience leading a finance team (2+ heads) and managing AP/AR/credit control.
• Experience in a smaller, hands-on growing business environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and controls.
• Excellent Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small, experienced team.
• Oversee monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Manage VAT returns and statutory returns.
• Coordinate year end audit with external auditors.
• Drive process improvements and maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial matters.
