How will you make an impact

As the Finance Manager you will be the primary finance business partner for the site operations director and management team. In addition to your site responsibilities, you will also lead the financial audit, cost accounting and transactional activities for the UK entities within the division. You will be leading and inspiring a team of strong, enthusiastic finance professionals to support the business in financial planning and reporting as well as decision making on investments and future proofing the organization financially.

What will you do
  • Primary business partner for the site operations director as well as key member of the site leadership team
  • UK leader for financial audit, cost accounting transactional activities and balance sheet governance
  • Lead and inspire an extended team of finance professionals across two sites
  • Management of Capital Expenditure including forecast accuracy and spend governance, preparation of investment proposals and approval management.
  • Lead development of financial forecasts and annual budget (AOP), identifying areas of risk and opportunity
  • Ensure adherence to Divisional Approval Authority Matrix/Corporate accounting policies
  • Streamline UK statutory reporting and various internal/external audit activities across both manufacturing locations
  • Drive strong focus on standard cost analysis to support improving and optimizing profitability for the business.
  • Lead analysis of productivity results and drive improvements in line with productivity targets
  • Perform or lead special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required

  • Organized multitasker: workload prioritization, enable the team to meet timelines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced environment
Education / Experience
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Manufacturing/Distribution experience
  • Previous experience of leading Financial Audit activities
  • Understanding of Cost Accounting is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience as a financial and people leader
