Job summary

Kenton Black Limited, based in East Lancashire, is seeking a technically astute Finance Manager in a newly created role reporting to the Finance Director. This high-growth manufacturing and distribution group operates across multiple regions.

You will lead the finance team, manage monthly management accounts, statutory requirements and year-end close, and drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and audit activities, partnering with operational managers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a Finance Manager role or equivalent in public practice
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in manufacturing sector
• Technically astute with formal professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and ERP/Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and statutory accounts with external auditors
• Lead year-end close and close processes while ensuring compliance
• Oversee VAT and other statutory reporting obligations
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for multi-site operations across regions
• Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support commercial decisions
• Forecast cash flow and manage working capital
• Maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements including automation
• Partner with operations managers to interpret financial performance
• Manage and develop the finance team, including coaching and development
