Job summary

Kenton Black Finance seeks a Finance Manager to lead month end, reporting and commercial analysis across UK and overseas entities. You will mentor 2–3 accounts assistants and partner with stakeholders to deliver insightful financial commentary.

The role offers hybrid working (up to 2 days remote per week), a starting salary of £50,000–£55,000, private healthcare, life insurance and a company pension matched at 5%. Experience in group structures with overseas operations is preferred.

• Own month end processes including management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Line manage 2–3 accounts assistants and partner with stakeholders for financial insight.
• Drive efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.

A large group of businesses on the Fylde Coast have partnered with Kenton Black Finance in their search for a new Finance Manager. This is an all-encompassing role which includes a combination of commercial and technical accounting duties.

Your New Role as Finance Manager:

Reporting to the Finance Director and overseeing 2-3 Accounts Assistants, responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of the month end processes including preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed variance analysis for UK and overseas entities
• Provision of financial performance reports for executive review and monthly board reporting
• Delivering ad hoc analysis for Senior Managers to aid effective decision making
• Preparation of the year end audit files, being the primary point of contact for auditors
• Line management of 2-3 Accounts Assistants, providing mentorship and support as required
• Business partnering with various stakeholders to advise and deliver financial insight
• Driving efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and proven in a similar level role with significant PQE, ideally with exposure to a Group business structure with overseas operations. Strong communication skills are imperative as you will be required to work closely with various stakeholders including board members and budget holders. Technically strong, you will also have good commercial acumen and strong analytical capabilities.
