Job summary

Bailey seeks a Finance Manager to lead Group reporting and deliver clear, insightful financial communications to senior stakeholders in Leeds. You will strengthen the reporting cycle, coordinate board papers, and influence governance with strong analytical and presentation skills.

The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification, experience in group reporting, and the ability to translate complex data into concise messages.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with practice or industry experience.
• Experience preparing reports for senior or non-specialist audiences.
• Familiarity with group reporting or multi-entity environments is advantageous.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear messages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex financial and business information into clear, engaging reports and presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Prepare and coordinate Board, committee, and senior management papers, along with supporting analysis.
• Support reporting and communications to shareholders and the wider Bailey family.
• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts and associated reporting.
• Analyze Group financial performance, including commentary and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Assist in the Group forecasting and budgeting process.
• Coordinate and manage the year‑end audit process, including liaising with divisional finance teams and external auditors.
• Prepare and review audit deliverables and supporting documentation.
• Support the preparation of Group statutory accounts and technical accounting papers.
• Work with stakeholders to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of reporting.
• Identify and implement practical process and reporting improvements.
