We’re delighted to be partnering with a global business based in Leeds to recruit a Senior Finance Manager.
This is a genuinely broad role with a strong commercial focus, combining ownership of the management accounts function with group reporting, forecasting, performance analysis and business partnering across the wider organisation.
You’ll lead and develop a team, ensuring high-quality and timely management information while working closely with senior stakeholders to understand performance, challenge assumptions and help drive better commercial decisions.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Lead management accounts function, overseeing accurate and timely monthly reporting across the group.
- Lead and develop a team of management accountants, improving processes, controls and reporting standards.
- Ownership of the P&L, balance sheet, forecasting and budgeting process.
- Provide meaningful analysis of financial and operational performance, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with operational and commercial leaders as a finance business partner, providing insight rather than simply reporting the numbers.
- Produce and present management information and commentary for senior management.
- Support group reporting across an international business with multiple entities and stakeholders.
- Work closely with FP&A, financial reporting and wider finance teams on group-wide initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality and consistency of management reporting.
- Support strategic projects and provide financial modelling and analysis where required
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:
- CIMA, ACCA, or ACA Qualified with minimum 3-4 years PQE
- Experience operating at Senior Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar level.
- Strong management accounts and month-end experience.
- Excellent budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.
- Experience of partnering with non-finance stakeholders and influencing decisions.
- Confidence to communicate financial information to senior leadership.
- Experience managing or mentoring finance professionals.
- Exposure to an international/group environment with multiple entities.
