Job summary

Control Risks in the United Kingdom is seeking a finance operations professional to oversee the general ledger and manage month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure accuracy and compliance across financial records and provide timely financial statements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years in finance operations, strong ERP and Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional certification considered a plus.
• 5+ years in finance operations, preferably in a shared service centre.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and integrity of financial records.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate intercompany reconciliation between regions during month end.
