Job summary

Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Council's financial planning and control activities within a busy, supportive team at the Civic Office, Doncaster.

The position is full-time (37 hours), permanent, with a Grade 10 salary of £48,227–£52,414 (pay award pending). The appointee will help close year-end accounts, prepare statements, and contribute to the Financial Strategy.

Duties include:

• Ensuring the year-end accounts are closed down in line with the agreed procedures and legislation;
• Provide the information required for the Statement of Accounts;
• Assist with preparing revenue budgets, contributing to the formulation of the Council Financial Strategy.
